CMV: Reddit is letting the wrong people pick what appears on your front page.

It's happening more and more, with a few minutes of browsing the front page I'll see some A-hole on r/Gunpolitics and Reddit will put it right on my front page with a "you might like this post". Now I don't even have an account for that sub, I was just looking at a post and I think Reddit might have mistaken me for that person on my secondary account. This led me to look at the "recommended" page, which is even worse, and I see some BS from r/askteenboys talking about peeking in a girl's room while she's getting changed. I don't have the slightest interest in this, and I already knew that the moderation on Reddit was bad, but seeing what Reddit thinks I'm interested in is completely ridiculous. Those are the most egregious examples but there are some other examples of subreddits I don't even have an account for that I've been to and it thinks I'm interested in, despite having subscribed to multiple subreddits with the same topic that I actually do care about.

If anyone has any CMV or links to Reddit posts about the actual reasoning behind this, I'd love to see it.
