Is Reddit actually useful for student teachers or not?

We were told by our program to create an account on Reddit. We were also told to check out r/studentteachers. But it seems that majority are just venting and I'm finding it harder to find threads where people are looking for advice. I find that Reddit has been great for advice in other areas of my life, but I'm a little skeptical if jumping into a sub where the majority of people are just random folks who are teachers venting or being sarcastic. I'm not sure if I would get any good, useful advice from there. What do you think?<br><br>Or, just jump in?
