My wife (F35) and I (M40) are planning a family (3-4 week) vacation and were hoping to get some input from fellow Redditors.

As stated, we'd love to take my parents (80 and 82) on an international vacation, but I expect it would be tough to do.

They are in poor health (my dad had a stroke 5 years ago and has been in–out of the hospital ever since), so we're wondering if she'd ever make it on an international flight, or if she'd even be interested (she isn't a fan of new things).

My–our–other concern is that they might not be able to travel with their health even if they wanted to. Does anyone have any input on (1) if they'd even be able to travel and (2) how to plan the trip with their health/mobility in mind? I imagine we'd be renting cars everywhere and she'd need to go somewhere she can relax at least half the time to avoid fatigue.

Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

TLDR: My wife and I want to take my parents on a trip before they pass, but we can't figure out if they'd even be able to travel, and have no idea how to plan the trip with their health/mobility in mind.
