Question about climate and geography

I am just mulling it over and I have a question about the climate and geography of a world in one of the universes I am working on.<br><br>Question: Is it possible to have an arctic desert that is not next to an ocean on all sides? I thought about the Sahara desert in the real world, but it is surrounded by ocean on the north and south with bodies of water on the sides.<br><br>Assuming that landmasses play a part in climate, would it be possible to have a cold desert that is located in the center of a landmass?
