What's going on with the increase in incest?

I don't get where the sudden increase in interest in incest has come from, but it's definitely getting more normalised. I don't have a problem with incest, but I have to wonder if there's something missing that removes the grossness of it? I don't know much about incest, so wondering if there's a 'how to' on it that I don't know about?
