My brother saved me (the girl) and our other siblings that day.<br><br>When I was 10, my parents were hosting a backyard BBQ for the 4th of July. I was fishing in the lake behind our backyard. I'm a girl, but have really short hair, wear loose clothing, and I was also in a lifejacket. I did not look like a girl from behind. A man walked up behind me and whispered in my ear to get in the water. He said he had a knife and I would not feel any pain. He said he did this before and he felt bad about it and was giving me a chance to get away by going into the water. I went straight to my brother who was 16 at the time. I told him what happened and he went to my parents. We own a lot of land and there was woods, so he could not find the man. My brother stayed with me the rest of the day. I did not want to be alone with my brother. The rest of the day went well. My brother has always been my protector.
