Is feminism even a thing in non-English-speaking countries?

I’m a Russian and from the moment I started searching for any information on the internet I had the impression that feminism was primarily a Western American issue. But I was wondering if it existed in other countries of the world at all? I am sure that feminism was and is present in Europe and the far East. But what about the countries of the former Soviet Union, for example, Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus? <br>For example, I have a friend who lives in Azerbaijan, and when the topic of feminism came up, he asked me what is it. I think this is a good example of what I am talking about. Maybe it is also worth saying that in Russia the majority of women are not happy with male feminism and many do not even consider it necessary. But on the other hand, a lot of women just don’t think about it and all they do is watch TV and do their housework and work and all that. Kind of like the middle class of the population that exists in its usual routine.
