There is no reason for makeup companies to include a brush in their eyeshadow palettes.

Every eyeshadow palette includes a small, fluffy brush. This brush is too small for most people to use without straining their hands and sight. The bristles are so fluffy that it will absorb most of the eyeshadow that you put on it, wasting product. This brush is completely useless to children and teenagers, the primary buyers of eyeshadow palettes.

Why do makeup companies include this brush in eyeshadow palettes? Surely there is a reason why this brush is included in nearly every eyeshadow palette, yet omitted from most mascaras.

A possible answer is that the brush is included to stop you from using the mascaras and eyeshadows at the same time, thereby increasing the profit margin of the companies.

Another possible answer is that it's included so that the product doesn't look bare when displayed.

I've tried using the brush and it sucks.
