The title pretty much says it

I was out a week ago at a bar and one of the bouncers was flirting with me pretty heavily all night, gave him my number right before I left and he said he'd hit me up in the morning. He didn't text me but someone else did the next morning, I didn't recognize the number so I asked who it was and he said it was his friend "Kyle" who was borrowing his phone after he broke his. I was a little skeptical but I figured I'd play along, give him the benefit of a doubt. We chatted for a few hours, he asked how my day was going, if I had dinner plans, what I do for work, where I like to go on the weekends. Things were going well until I asked him to send me a selfie and he said he was in the middle of getting his hair cut and couldn't. I asked if we couldn't just FaceTime then and he said he didn't have his phone. I then offered to send the Pics he asked for of me if he sent me one and again he said he didn't have his phone. Then I realized his friends name was Kyle but he kept referring to himself as "Brandon". I asked the Pics again and he said he was going to the gym after the salon, he'd send me some when he got home. I said okay and he could just send one in a group chat from one of his friends phones. And he said I was acting weird and that I must not be into him. I said yeah I'm sorry I just don't like talking to people I don't know what they look like and I'm not sure he was actually Brandon. He then got upset and said he won't send me a picture until I "got to know him better" and that if I was so hung up on looks then maybe he isn't interested in me anymore. I was shocked honestly at the way he snapped at me

But the thing is I think he was actually the guy I gave my number to at the bar and he was just trying to pretend he was his friend "Kyle" texting me from "Brandons" phone. I think he was trying to see if I liked him more than I would just the random guy he was pretending to be. It seemed like he had made up a little back story about "Kyle" borrowing "Brandons" phone because he mentioned the haircut appointment and the gym, and he seemed pretty irate when I called him out on it.

I'm just wondering if I'm right, could "Kyle" actually be using his friends phone at the exact same time that his friend is using him? Is it possible that happened all on its own? Or did he literally call his friend and tell him he's not going to send pics until he gets to know me better? If that is the case I'm just so confused as to why he felt the need to do that??
