This is my favorite sub, but I am non-binary and I am sick of people misgendering my students

Hi everyone, I love this board. It’s a great place to get support and talk with other teachers. It’s a great source of information and I really appreciate everyone who contributes here.<br><br>But… I am NB. I love my students and I want them to have best year possible. I can’t stand it when strangers misgender my students. I will fucking cry every time I see a post with someone talking about their “ladies and gentlemen” or how their “princesses” are so dainty that they can’t do some task. I don’t even want to get into the trans kids, but I will never ever intentionally misgender a child. <br><br>I don’t know if this is a British thing, I’m American and I have never heard anyone refer to a group of kids as ‘lads and love’ or something like that before. <br><br>I know this is not the majority on this sub, but stop misgendering kids.
