I stole a lot of food during college

I had no money for food after my freshman year, so I stole a lot from the store I worked at in college. They didn’t take my food stamp money and I was running out of money every month. It sucked<br><br>Edit: I took mostly meat and sometimes produce, never anything major and we were told we could help ourselves to produce in the back anyway - my manager even told us to take food home if we had a little money to shop, so I was never scared of getting in trouble because I never tried to get greedy - my manager even told us to take food home with us from work because it was in date and I’d been offered food by her before so I’m not understanding why so many people are coming down on me for this. I was hungry and I took food, but nobody else is going to give me food or shelter because I’m not their problem and you all seem to have a problem with me taking something to feed myself when the reality is, I’m not your problem<br><br>Edit2: I didn’t steal every day, normally I would look around at work and ask my manager if she wanted to take food home and take a bag size portion of meat or veggies home with me, never took a full package of anything - I was just taking what I needed and normal people take home fruit and veggies sometimes, especially if they had a little money to get something from the store - I didn’t go in there with the intention of stealing, it was more of a thing at the end of the week if I had money to go shopping or something
