What is your favorite travel tip?

Im planning my first trip out of the country without an adult and Im not sure of what I should bring or what I should know about traveling. What would be your favorite thing you wished you had brought with you?<br><br>Edit: I apologize for not making it clear where I was going. I will be going to Japan and I will be staying over there for 30 days.
