This subreddit is one of the few places left where americans can still be truly "conspiratorial"

I have been using reddit for over a decade. I was an avid lurker in r/politics until Trump was elected, which was the catalyst for my growing disinterest in that space. I watched as the politics subreddit went from being a place where people posted articles from reputable sources and discussed the subject matter, to being a place where people posted articles from mainstream media and spun the headlines to be just a little more leaning in one direction or the other.

I’ve since been banned from that subreddit, which is fine and hilarious. The last time I was banned, I was banned for posting a screenshot of a news article headline from the AP on Trump’s personal Twitter page. The moderators claimed that Trump was not a reputable source, which is true, but I thought it was an interesting perspective to see how the current administration maintains its online presence.

I have found this subreddit to be a haven for open discussion of current events without the influence of conservative or liberal rhetoric. The real conspiracy is how reddit does not ban this subreddit and does not push it up on the front page.

As always, thank you fellow conspiracy theorists for being rational and real discussion.
