What does the Philosophers' shift away from science mean?

I have noticed that as I delve deeper into philosophy, I am less and less drawn to the sciences. <br><br>I have grown to be more interested in philosophy, and my heart no longer resides in science. While I have more respect and admiration for science than ever before, I prefer the more intimate, personal nature of philosophy. <br><br>With that as a backdrop, I would love to hear perspectives on the philosophical, existential, and metaphysical implications of philosophers turning away from the sciences. <br><br>Is it a sign of our times? Is it a result of the discipline's evolution? Is it an expected outcome of philosophical pursuits? What does it mean?
