I recently picked up my brother from the airport and was supposed to drive him to his friends house were he will be staying for the next two weeks. On the way he asked me to stop at a game store so he could buy a game, that is already out but for some reason he didn't have it. Its a very popular game so he asked to to call ahead and ask if they have it in stock since he was afraid that they would run out of copies if we gave them a call after we are already in the store. So i called and the worker said they have around 15 copies and that they close in around 5 hours.

While driving we talked about games, school and some other stuff and i joked that the game store might run out of the copy he wants in case a bunch of people buy some copies. He kind of got silent after that.

After around 45 minutes of driving i asked if he could check the store page and see if they have it listed with the in store inventory number. He did that and saw that it had around 10 copies and he started to be stressed out that people are buying it in the span of 45 minutes. I jokingly said that we can't drive any faster since i was already breaking the speed limit by 20km/h.

He then said that i should drive faster but i told him that i won't since i don't want to risk a fine or worse. I asked if they have digital copies of the game and he said they do, but that he wanted a physical one since he likes to have the case and everything. I said that digital would be a good option since we won't make it to the store on time.

He was getting really stressed that people are buying the game and said that i should have taken the day off from work so we could leave earlier. I told him that i planned this weeks schedule weeks ago since i had a meeting i couldn't reschedule. I said that he could go alone but he said that he didn't have a car and that even if he did, he didn't have a license so there was no way he could go alone.

I then asked what was the reason that he didn't game and get it earlier, since he had close to a month to do it. He said that he was busy with school and stuff and that he completely forgot about it until a day or two ago. I then asked how come his friends had time to buy it already, but not him and that instantly started a massive argument.

He was shouting at me saying that i'm the one who's causing this since i didn't want to drive fast and that this is all my fault. I said that i told him to buy a digital one instead of a physical copy, but he just said that that's not the point and that i should have done this one thing for him.

I then said that this wasn't the only game store in town and that there are 4 others and that we can try to find it in one of those and that if we are lucky we can get there before they close. He said that there is no way we can check all 4 within an hour and that i'm doing this on purpose so he doesn't have his game. I told him that i'm not his driver and that he's my brother so i'm doing him a favor by driving him in the first place.

After that we once again got silent and i asked him if he's still gonna stay at his friends or if he wants to go home. He said he didn't wanna be in the same house as me so i drove him to his friends and he slammed the door on the way out. Now i'm wondering if i should have either taken the day off or driven faster.
