AITA for telling my husband to sleep on the couch because of his snoring?

Me 35 F and my husband "Tom" 37 M have been together for 10 years and married for 6 years. We have two kids aged 3 and 5. We're a happy couple and love each other to bits.

Tom has always been a loud snorer. To the point where it sounds like a freight train is in the room. He refuses to go to a doctor to have it checked out. His answer is always "I'm fine, I'm not worried about it. And there's nothing wrong with a bit of snoring". It's become a running joke because he will completely deny it and say he doesn't snore. Even though I have recorded it and played it back to him, he still denies it.

Because of this, I now sleep on the couch in the lounge at night. It's actually super comfortable and I get a good night's sleep. The only problem is that I have to get up early for work so have to get to bed at a reasonable hour. Which means I have to kick Tom out to sleep in the bedroom.

It was a Tuesday night and I was in bed on the couch at 9. Tom came out and asked what I was doing. I said I was going to sleep. He asked why and I said because of his snoring. Tom got upset at this, saying he doesn't snore and that I was just being a bitch by calling him out on it.

I stood my ground and said I wasn't going to sleep next to someone who sounds like a freight train. Tom got mad and said I was being unreasonable and stubborn because I wouldn't sleep with him.

After a few minutes, I had had enough and said to him "You know what, fine. If you don't snore, I'll happily sleep next to you. But if you do snore, you're sleeping on the couch and I'm taking the bed".

Tom eagerly agreed, thinking that he had won. We went to the bedroom and got into bed. About an hour later, Tom was fast asleep and snoring loudly. I got up, grabbed his phone and recorded a 30 second video of the snoring. I shook Tom awake and told him to get out and sleep on the couch.

Tom was so angry and said I was being a bitch. I stood my ground and said I told him what would happen if he was snoring. I then showed him the video and he said it didn't count because it was one time and he doesn't always snore.

At this point, I'd had enough and said to him "Tom, you are so selfish. Every night you expect me to sleep next to you and listen to your snoring. I've told you how much it bothers me. But every night, you still expect me to sleep next to you. I don't know how you can be so fucking stupid".

Tom was taken aback by my outburst and just stood there not saying anything. I stood my ground and told him to go sleep on the couch. Tom eventually got up and left the room.

In the morning when Tom and I talked about it, he was still of the view that he doesn't snore and that I was simply being stubborn and trying to get my own way.

So AITA here?
