What were the main reasons for the Nazis to go after the Jews?

The Nazis hated many groups but they especially hated the Jews. The portrayal of the Jews throughout history was one of greed, money and conspiracy and the Nazis used this depiction to justify the reasons for putting the Jews through the holocaust.
