Firstly I’d like to start with a statistic I read from a comment on Reddit, it was:

> “51% of Americans do not have a passport, and the average American is only 1 generation removed from an immigrant or 2 generations removed from a 3rd world country.”

Secondly I’d like to bring up the whole border crisis hoax I heard about on a trip I took to the US that really rubbed me the wrong way. I’m not sure where you heard it, but if you heard it, you know what I’m talking about.

The whole idea of this hoax is to make us believe that a wall is needed between the US and Mexico to preventimmigrantsimmigrantsimmigrants from getting in. Oh no! I hear you say! But they’re not a minority! Well the thing is, for as long as the US has existed, it has been an immigrant country.

Then I was chatting to this guy at a bar in New York and he was going on about “fuck the immigrants and fuck Trump for letting them in”. I asked him if he has been to the border before to witness it with his own eyes. Then he told me a story about his grandfather who immigrated from Ireland back in the 1930s.

So what I’m saying is that the US was built on immigrants, it’s essentially an entire country of immigrants of people from all over the world. Yes I know that with the way the world is going at the moment there is sometimes a need for these physical barriers, but don’t let politicians feed you bullshit.
