Why do Americans travel so much?

Hello everyone. I am a Canadian living in a large city and I'd say my neighbours mostly travel locally in their province or at most maybe the next one. But it's not uncommon for Americans to travel across the country just to visit a city. <br><br>Anyways I'm curious and want to hear the take of Americans on this topic or if there's any Americans in this sub.
