Sleeping in your car should be 100% legal and tolerated

I think it should be legal to sleep in your car. Not only in designated areas like rest stops, but anywhere on public property that it’s safe and legal to park. I see countless stories of people getting in trouble for sleeping in their car, even when they were parked legally and not causing ANY issues. <br><br>The only exception I have is that if someone is sleeping in their car in a residential area, near a school, park, etc. They could be considered a potential danger or threat. Otherwise, if you park in a spot that is legal for the duration and don’t break any laws, the cops should leave you alone.<br><br>This is also a big issue with homelessness in big cities. I know that ANY city with a warm climate should allow people to sleep in their cars on public property without harassing them, as long as they are parked legally and don’t break the law.<br><br>Feel free to downvote, but this is just my opinion.
