Hello friends, I am a Muslim and I recently got fascinated with Hinduism. I am dissatisfied with Islam and I want to convert to Hinduism. Now, I want to know what are the practices and rituals that a Hindu should do on daily basis. I am from India, so I hope I can easily adapt to this religion. When it comes to Hinduism, I first have to select a God, right? I have to select a God, then I have to learn about it, and then follow its teachings and rituals. So help me and please don't make it long. Just give me a short summary.

EDIT: It's been a long time and no one has replied, so I am going to summarize what I have learned from different people.

**Why is Hinduism so complicated?**
It is not actually that complicated. Religion is a complex thing, but Hinduism is relatively simple. Just be a good person.

**But why are there so many Gods in Hinduism?**
All the Gods are the manifestations of the same God. It is like all humans have different ways of expressing love, but the love is the same. The Gods represent different ways of expressing the love of a person to God. Just like the love of a mom has many forms. A mom can be loving, caring, protective, and much more. The Gods manifest in different forms and serve different purposes. Just like some moms are protective and some moms are caring. Just because you have a protective mom doesn't mean that you don't have a caring mom. You have both. Similarly, the Gods have different purposes and you can worship any God you like, but you're worshiping the same God.

**What should I do to become a Hindu?**
You don't have to do anything to become a Hindu. Anybody can be a Hindu, including Muslims and Christians. But if you're a Muslim and you leave Islam, then it's considered apostasy and you'll be killed according to Islamic law. But if you leave Christianity, then you're just excommunicated. But still, it's better to officially leave Islam or Christianity if you're a Muslim or a Christian. You don't have to officially join Hinduism. You can just identify as a Hindu if you follow Hinduism. You don't even have to follow Hinduism. Just being culturally a Hindu is enough for you to be considered a Hindu.

**What are the basic practices that a Hindu should do?**
A Hindu should be pure (sattva) and do good deeds. You should do karma yoga (selfless work). By doing good deeds, you'll develop a good character. And by developing a good character, you'll become a good person. By helping others, you're helping yourself. By doing good deeds, you'll be pure and by being pure, you'll do good deeds. Doing selfless work is a natural process. A tree produces fruits. When a tree produces fruits, it doesn't expect anything in return. A river helps people and when a river dies, it becomes a part of the ocean. Similarly, by doing selfless work, you'll become a part of God.

**How should I worship Hindu Gods?**
You can worship Hindu Gods in different ways. You can worship Gods by praying, doing meditation, giving puja (worship), reading the scriptures, or by singing bhajans (hymns). Some Gods prefer certain ways of worship over others. You can worship any God you like, but it's better to worship a certain God based on your guna (personality). According to Hinduism, there are three gunas: sattva (purity), rajas (passion), and tamas (darkness). So you can worship a God according to your guna. For example, if you're passionate, then you can worship Lord Krishna. If you're impulsive, then you can worship Lord Shiva.
