How would a corporation (specifically one focused on social media and data collection) go about replacing the government?

A little background to get us started: In my world there are two corporations, we’ll call them C and R. The two corporations were formed in the 30s, in Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union, respectively. They both began as government contractors, but after the end of World War II they began competing with each other coming out on top in various fields. They became insurance companies in the 60s, banks in the 70s, tech companies in the 80s (R was instrumental in the Summer Blockade), and now they’re social media providers and internet service providers coming out on top in the social media wars. I imagine at this point, they’d like to go to war with each other, but they can’t. Now, one of the social media platforms they’ve bought out is Reddit.<br><br>Basically, the CEO of C is an Aussie who has been trying to buy out the Trump Towers in Chicago as some kind of bullseye on the United States. He’s also been trying to buy a bunch of US farmland. He said he wants to create a nation on that land. I feel like I know where this is going, I just need to get there. He wouldn’t have the military might to do it with either. Is there any way he could actually pull it off?<br><br>TL;DR!: CEO of a large corporation that’s been around a hundred years wants to take over the USA and create a new nation. But he doesn’t have the military might to do it. How would he pull it off?
