Amazed at the amount of incest drama

Hello fellow incest-lovers, today I wanted to talk to you all about one of the most drastic differences I've encountered between incest and any other fetish.

I've been part of this community for a long time, but as some of you know, I also enjoy other fetishes, like ageplay, and I've noticed something unique that I wanted to share with you all. In other communities, I hardly ever run into any kind of drama. Sure, there's the occasional misunderstanding, but it's never escalated to any level where I'd have to leave the community altogether. To be honest, I have a hard time trying to remember any drama at all, let alone significant enough to remember.

However, when it comes to incest, this is a completely different story. I've been in multiple communities where members have turned on each other, and the entire group has fallen apart. It's been over 15 years since I first encountered incest content, and I've seen so many communities rise and fall, with some of them rebranding over and over again. I'm actually surprised that this sub has existed for so long without falling victim to all the drama that usually surrounds incest.

I think one reason for this is that incest isn't actually a fetish, at least, not in the way I understand it. It's a classification of pornographic content. I've noticed that people who are into incest have very specific and often conflicting kinks, and they tend to clash over these differences. We get people who are into first cousins, first-degree relatives, second-degree relatives, and even further. There are those who are into father-daughter, mother-son, mother-daughter, and father-son content, and sometimes it's a mix of all these.

I've also seen a lot of people who dislike certain family relationships or incest scenarios, even if they're open to others. For instance, someone might be into father-daughter but find mother-son repulsive. Others may only be into incest involving step-relatives, while some are only interested in blood-related incest. Then there are those who prefer a specific age difference between the characters involved, and others who find that aspect irrelevant.

This broad range of kinks and preferences is exactly what leads to drama. Let's say someone who's into mother-son content joins a community that's mostly about father-daughter content. They might try to create content or discuss their own kink, only to be met with hostility or accusations of "ruining the community". I've also seen communities where certain types of incest are banned outright, like genderswap incest, which has been a topic of controversy for years.

In contrast, other fetish communities tend to be more focused on a specific kink, and the members generally share a common interest. For example, in an ageplay community, everyone is into ageplay, regardless of the specific scenario or roles involved. They're more likely to discuss their kink and share content without any drama or conflict.

So, what I'm trying to say is that incest isn't actually a single fetish, but rather a broad category of content that encompasses many different kinks. This diversity of interests and the complexity of human relationships can sometimes lead to disagreements and conflicts, which ultimately result in the downfall of incest communities.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the drama that comes with being in the closet! Incest is often stigmatized and socially unacceptable, which can lead to a lot of secrecy and anxiety for those who are into it. This secrecy can sometimes boil over into a dramatic public confession or a bitter falling out with someone who was supposed to be a friend or ally. In contrast, other fetishes tend to be more openly discussed and less stigmatized, which reduces the likelihood of drama.
