What the fuck do you say to people who don’t want to accept this?

I’ve honestly had some people say to me “well I never really cared for politics” or “I don’t really pay attention to politics” in the last week when I’ve brought up this issue. And I think - well now’s the time. Now’s the time to be paying attention to this because shitty leadership at the top of the government is clearly having an effect on our lives. <br><br>Then I think - well this is the president of the United States. If you’ve never cared about politics and you’re still not listening to me - then I guess I’m going to have to try harder. But there’s only so many “I don’t care about politics” conversations you can have before you start to wonder if there’s really anything you can do.<br><br>I’ve had shitty conversations with shitty people the last few weeks - but none compare to the level of shittyness that this man - the president of the United States - has displayed. He is truly not fit to be president - not now, not ever. And he is the president of the United States. <br><br>I think we all need to keep on pushing back and keep on talking. I think we need to keep on being vocal and keep on being loud. We need to keep on writing letters and sending emails. We need to keep on telling our stories and sharing our stories and talking about what this means to us. <br><br>I don’t know if you can convince some people - I don’t know if some people will ever truly get it. I don’t think some people ever will - but I think we need to keep on trying. And I think we need to keep on trying because the future of the United States of America depends on it. <br><br>We just can’t truly afford to have this man as the president of the United States.
