Why would anybody feel like the lesser gender because of something they can't do?

I'm a feminist, I'm obviously going to side with my gender. I am not saying I think men are the inferior gender. I think we're equal. I don't think anybody is better than the other gender.

So I was scrolling through a video, it was a video about men vs. women, I don't know. I'm not gonna link it since I'm not the type to post links (sorry).

One of the things it said was that boys used to think it was a burden to be a man and have to protect a country from invasion.

Then I looked it up and it's true, men used to think that being a woman was better than being a man because we don't have to join the military - we've always been able to do anything a man can't do. (And a few things that men can't.)

Why do people care so much about this? Why do people feel like the lesser gender because of things they can't do? Why feel like the lesser gender at all?
