This is stupid but its really been bugging me lol. Basically i was eating dinner and my 7 year old cousin came over and asked if she could try some of my food. It's a bit of a tradition in my family that everyone shares their food and that you should always try a little bit of everyone's and stuff. i really really hate doing this because i don't like food touching or tasting like other food, its dumb but i've always been like this and its pretty hard for me to eat at family gatherings.

I had just come home from a long day at work, and i was exhausted and very hungry. Whatsmore the food i was eating was something i haven't had in a very very long time, and is one of my favorites, but i didn't want to share it.

So i told my cousin no, and instantly i got like 5 sets of hands grabbing at my arms and my food and yelling at me not to be so selfish.

The thing is my cousin was also eating, so like... she had food, it was just that she wanted to try mine because there was a pastry with a really pretty design on it and she liked the look of it. I feel like as i'm an adult i have the right to say no especially when i was tired and hungry but everyone went on and on about how selfish i was.

So AITA for not wanting to share my food?
