I have a standing desk, but I have a chair with it too incase I want to sit. I recently switched up my setup and found that my chair was sitting about 90 degrees from where it used to be (perpendicular, like from l to > shape). It feels a lot better on my back. My idea is that sitting in the same spot every day for hours on end eventually causes micro tears in your muscles (like a wrinkle or a crease) that eventually develop scar tissue and cause pain. Switching the direction of my chair forces me to change my posture and helps resolve that pain.

Edit: I do that already is not helpful. What I was going for was to share something that personally greatly helped me and could help others. There are so many little tips and tricks you can do in life to make it easier and people don’t share them enough. I’m glad I was able to help some of you :)
