Being a man is really tough and no one appreciates it.

I'm not saying it's the hardest thing in the world. It's obviously not. However, people forget that men have to constantly put on a tough front even though we feel just as many emotions as women do. We just can't show those emotions. We can't emote in public. If we start crying, we're seen as weak. If we act angry in public, we're hoes. If we act happy, we're not being serious. If we're being serious, we're scaring people. If we try to show compassion, we're being too soft. If we're soft, people lose respect for us. If we try to be rude, we're being arrogant. If we try to be humble, we're being pathetic. If we try to be confident, we're being conceited. If we try to be conciliatory, we're being a pushover. If we try to stand up for ourselves, we're being too aggressive. If we try to be passive, we're being too agreeable. You got it? <br>There are a million ways to get it wrong and only a handful of ways to actually get it right. And if we try to right and we're perceived as right, there will be a section of people who will challenge us to see if we're truly right. So even if we get it right, it's not actually right. It's just accepted. And even if it's accepted, we'll never be rewarded for it. It will just be seen as what's expected. If we don't put on this front, we won't be able to function in society. If we can't function, we can't work. If we can't work, we can't feed our families. If we can't feed our families, we abandon our families. If we abandon our families, we're bad fathers, husbands, and sons. If we're bad at these roles, other people suffer because they depend on us. If other people suffer, we've failed.<br>Of course, I exaggerate a little. However, I think a lot of people take their gender for granted and assume that it's easy. But it's not. Being a man is hard. It's more stressful than being a woman. There are so many landmines we have to avoid each day and so much shit we have to put up with just for being alive. Yeah, we get the bonus of a dick, but it's not worth it. Trust me. I would trade mine away in a second.
