This subreddit tends to be conservative and right-wing... but there's a BIG difference between conservative and right-wing.

I'm a libertarian-socialist. That's kind of a weird term, but I don't want to be typecasted. I'm just stating that so you know where the bias is coming from. <br><br>If you go to a typical conservative space, it's pro-military, pro-police, and anti-immigrant. They'll respond to phrases like "defund the police" and "vaccine passports" by saying "never". But if you point out the CIA's involvement in foreign wars, the NSA's mass surveillance, and the FBI's culture of corruption, they'll just deny or shift the subject. They don't like being told that the head of the FBI doesn't even know what a VPN is, for example.<br><br>Conservatives are generally more concerned with culture and custom, social norms and social class. They tend to be anti-immigrant because they fear cultural dilution, and they'll be pro-police so long as the police are defending their way of life. They don't really care about the police's treatment of poor people, as long as they get a discount on their next purchase at the applebee's. <br><br>Right-wingers, on the other hand, tend to be more focused on power, authority, and strict social hierarchy. They'll talk about "freedom" and "liberty" in the context of "small government" and "lower taxes", but they're perfectly happy to send police out to harass homeless people, kick out immigrants, or beat up protesters. Right-wingers are all for free markets and competition, but their idea of competition is like that one episode of the simpsons where Burns tries to make every kid in town compete against each other to see who can be the best bootlicker. <br><br>Right-wingers like to brag about how they get to crush people of lower social classes, but they also happen to be the biggest class of bootlickers. I don't know if right-wingers are more common on this subreddit or not, but it's important to remember that there's a huge difference between conservative and right-wing.
