Jews at a large music event trying to get me to support Israel.

Fun story for anyone who wants to hear it. This happened at one of the largest music festivals in the Netherlands. So at one point I’m at a tent, waiting for a show. And there is another young man, probably about my age. I notice he’s wearing a shirt that says Israel on it. I don’t really care. There’s a lot of pro Israel sentiment in the Netherlands. After a while he starts talking to me. That’s fine, I’m a nice guy so I talk to him. He tells me about Israel. That they’re really nice people and that they’re having a great time. He mentions that there is a lot of space for improvement. Then he asks for my opinion on the whole conflict. I, a mostly average white Dutch guy, don’t really know. It’s a long way from here and I don’t really care That’s basically my answer. Then he starts talking about that there is a lot of propaganda against Israel in the media. That we shouldn’t believe everything we see in the media, because a lot of it is lies.<br><br>To be honest I don’t know what to say. It’s obvious he’s trying to convince me of something. But I don’t feel like arguing so I just shrug, smile and say that I guess you’re right. To be fair, it’s probably the case. He asks me if I want to go with him to the Israel booth. Alright sure, why not. We go there and it’s really a booth of Isreali propaganda. There are Israeli flags hanging everywhere. There’s music and it’s just an attempt to show the good side of Israel. Again, fine by me. I go there, just to amuse myself, not because I hate Israel or anything like that. <br><br>Then someone comes to me, probably to talk to me about Israel. I don’t know if he’s Jewish or not, but he most likely is. He asks what I think of Israel. And to be honest with you, I don’t really know. I just came for fun. I don’t really care about Israel. So I just shrug and say that it’s fine, I guess. Again, he starts talking about how Israel is a great country and that they are having a great time. Apparently there is a lot of propaganda against Israel in the media. I’m starting to get bored so I just say that I think you’re right and start walking away. The guy from the tent starts calling after me, asking for my email address so he can send me more info about Israel. To be honest with you, I don’t feel like arguing. So I quickly give him my email. I’m sure I’ll never hear from him again.
