How do I (12F) make friends?

My mom signed me up for a cooking class at a rec center in our town. I love to bake and I went with a friend, so I didn’t want to change classes. My friend didn’t sign up on time, so I’m by myself. I ate my lunch in the parking lot and everyone is already there, so I don’t know what to do.
