My brother went from being an independent libertarian to actively supporting trump. it is so sad and sickening.

He's the last person I would have ever expected to be a trump supporter. He is 3 years younger than me, and we were both raised the same way, and had the same upbringing, but in the last few years, his politics and thoughts have completely shifted. He is actively voting for trump this year, and has supported him since his presidential run started. I'm convinced that trump has brainwashed him and manipulated his thoughts, as well as many other of his supporters. He is obsessed with Fox news, and recently shuffled a bunch of his money into gold and silver, because as he says, "I think Trump is gonna win and I'm gonna be rich on gold and silver!" he's a advocate for a balanced budget, but doesn't see how Trump ran up the deficit like crazy. He thinks Trump is gonna save businesses, but has never had a business of his own. He thinks trump is pro coal miners, but has never been in that industry himself. My point is that he and many of his supporters blindly support trump, and have been pushed to believe in fake news and conspiracy theories by his administration. He says I "drink the liberal kool-aid" and I need to "look at the big picture" when it comes to trump. He says trump "has done more good than bad" and that "anyone but trump in 2020" is just an attack on his character. I have come to the realization that he is too brainwashed to be saved, and that trump is a cult leader that has manipulated millions of people into only seeing the "good" in what he does, and only seeing the "bad" in what his opposition does.
