I'll never understand people who say "what if Israel loses?"

I've heard people say this and I've also seen people downvoting those who say "God forbid they lose, we can't let that happen" or something similar. I truly don't get why people think that way. When Israel's neighbors want to kill every last one of them, there's no room for "what if they lose". There's no room for saying "oh well, maybe they'll lose this one". I don't get where the confusion is. I don't get where all this confusion is coming from. Everything that happens in the conflict is the responsibility of the aforementioned neighbors. Period. Stop saying "what if they lose", that's not something we can let happen.
