The symmetrical face delusion

A lot of people (especially girls) say that they care for the proportion and symetry of a person's face rather than his facial structure in general. For example, they will say that they don't care for size of a person's nose, but care for the proportion/comparison of the nose to the face. <br><br>This is a delusion, as symmetrical face automatically means that the facial structure is well proportionned. A symmetrical face always implies good looking facial structure and features, since the features are proportioned to the face. Therefore it is just useless to say that you care about proportions and not about the facial features<br><br>[edit] ofc I do not say that symmetry is not important for ex a face that is symmetrical with bad facial features is better than a face with a little asymetry and bad facial structure. But the proportion thing and the facial feature (jaw, nose, eye, brow) thing can be seen as synonymous
