I stole a copy of Cinderella from Walmart because I was a broke college student and I felt entitled.

When I was in college, Walmart had a 7 dollar VHS version of Cinderella. We had a VHS player, TV, and a PS2 which was all we could afford. We didn't have a whole lot of money and had very little in the way of movies to watch. The Disney movies were about 15 or 20 dollars and I thought that was outrageous. I was a broke college student and had a strong sense of entitlement.

I had shoplifted before, so I wasn't afraid, but deep down I was kind of afraid and felt guilty. I was always afraid of being caught. Every time I stole from a store, my heart was pounding, and I was extremely paranoid and anxious.

I had a large bookbag so I stuffed it in and got out of there. I didn't get caught and I got to watch the movie. It was just a cheap copy though, with like two previews and it wasn't even the "Special Platinum Edition" or whatever, but it was Cinderella.

I don't steal anymore. I was never caught, but I have been caught before and given a warning and I never forgot that feeling. I don't condone shoplifting and it was a stupid thing to do, but if I'm being completely honest, it did feel kind of satisfying at the time.

Edit: So Disney and Walmart colluded and got me to steal. I guess the real villain was the capitalism all along.
