Men who think they can replace us as caregivers to children and the elderly are deluded

For those who think a utopia where men are the caregivers and providers of emotional labor and women are the breadwinners will be liberatory for women: it's not. And it's not going to happen. And women know it.

A world where a man can lift the burden of childrearing and eldercare from our shoulders and replace us as **both** caregiver and breadwinner is a fantasy. Why would we give up our autonomy or our daughters growing up to have it, when we can instead have a world where women and non-binary people have equal access to education, career options, healthcare, and social services as men? Why would we give up our agency to have our children and parents and grandparents cared for? We've had enough of that bullshit for the last several thousand years.

So put that in your pipe and smoke it, and stop telling us this is what feminism is.

[Edit: I'm getting a lot of responses saying "but the patriarchy" followed by "we can't change human biology." I agree that the patriarchy sucks, but that's not an argument in favor of replacing one oppressive system with another. And humans have been changing our own biology for thousands of years -- we can keep working on that.]
