My (30F) husband (31M) says we will be together “forever”....but won’t marry me.

My husband and I are both in our 30s. We have been together for almost 10 years. We have 2 kids (5M and 3F). We aren’t married, but he calls me his wife and I call him my husband. <br><br>He won’t marry me down because he already failed at a marriage once. He was married for less than a year. No-ring, no-fight. He doesn’t want to marry because he says he failed at it once. I understand that can be really hard for a person but it’s been almost 10 years. <br><br>I feel like I want to be married. It’s important to me. It feels important to my family. I’ve always wanted to get married. I feel like I’m over 30 now and I don’t feel like I’m where I am supposed to be in life. I want to feel married. I want to be married. But he doesn’t want to be married. <br><br>He says we will be together “forever,” but I want us to be married. I just feel like this is something we should do in our relationship. It feels important to me as a woman and I don’t know where else to turn. <br><br>TL;DR: my husband doesn’t want to be married but wants to be together forever.
