How come nobody hasn't sued big pharma over Kratom?

STOP SUGGESTING KRATOM IS ADDICTIVE. Its effects are nothing like opioids. The withdrawal sucks but its nothing more than a flu. You have to be a dumb ass to become dependent on Kratom. And dont even get me started on calling Kratom an opioid because it affects certain receptors. By that logic caffeine is addictive because it affects dopamine receptors. Its just misinformation spread by pharmaceutical companies.

I've heard about how the pharmaceutical industry has influenced the government to make Kratom illegal over fears it would cut into their billion dollar business of pain killers. That's the main reason why Kratom is classified as a schedule 1 drug. They claim Kratom is an opioid because it affects the "opioid receptors" and "may" be addictive even though it hasn't been proven at all. In fact, Kratom has been proven to help addicts get off opioids and other addictive drugs. And compared to other drugs out right now that are legal, its basically harmless and doesn't have even a percent of the side effects of these chemical drugs. How come nobody has sued big pharma? And why does nobody care about this?

Edit: Wow, you guys blew this post up. I went to sleep with 600 upvotes and woke up to over 3k. Thank you guys for the gold and awards and everyone who commented. And i didn't expect my post to blow up in r/all.
