What is your story? What made you a MGTOW?

This sub has been instrumental in my mental and financial journey to become an even greater man. <br><br>I am interested in what made y'all become MGTOW.<br><br>For me, it was years and years of disappointment and heartbreak. I was the most laid back, and confident man in my life, and I had every girl I had ever wanted. I had the one girl I wanted in high school, I had the one girl I wanted in college, and even in my early 20s, I had a girlfriend. I was the star of my football team, and I had every girl fawning over me. I thought I was the luckiest man alive, but that all changed once I got out into the world of dating for women with standards. <br><br>I was the most confident man alive, but I had no game. I was never taught how to pursue women, how to pick up women, how to seduce women, how to get a date with women. I thought being nice was enough. It never was. I had gotten comfortable with being the alpha male in every social situation, and that mindset didn't translate over into the dating world. <br><br>That was my first major hurdle, and one that I am still learning from. My next major hurdle was the way women treated me when they found out I had no money, and how they were only attracted to me when I was in the best shape of my life. <br><br>My first girlfriend (the one from high school) left me for a drug addict who sold dope, and then went on to become a stripper. I dated another girl for a few months in college who was also a stripper, and then I dated another girl for a few months, who was also a stripper. I learned very quickly that a woman's looks are not a good determinant of her character. <br><br>I eventually found a woman to be with, and it seemed like my life was perfect. She was very attractive, and had a very good personality, but I quickly learned that she had some very major flaws, and I was too much of a pushover to ask her to improve. <br><br>Eventually she left me for a man who worked construction, and made double what I was making as a teacher. <br><br>I learned from that experience, and I moved on with my life. I was much wiser, and more mature, and I was very excited to start dating again. <br><br>That was when COVID-19 hit. I was too afraid to get too close to women, and I was too afraid of getting women pregnant, and I learned very quickly that women are not happy with a man being shy, and they will take advantage of that. <br><br>That is when I finally realized that the only way for a man to truly succeed was to be a MGTOW. No woman is worth your time or your money. <br><br>Since then I have made a lot of changes. I have stopped pursuing women, I have stopped wearing cologne, I have stopped dressing up, I have stopped buying expensive things I didn't need, and I have stopped putting my happiness into the hands of others. I have become more introverted, and I have started focusing on myself. <br><br>I hope you guys will share your story.<br><br>What made you realize you should be an MGTOW?
