I've been with my wife for the last 10 years. She's my only girlfriend, she's from a traditional Asian background, and she's also super religious and very loyal to her family. She's very intelligent and hard working and she loves her job, she's attractive, cooks, has a great sense of humour, always been loyal and a great friend to one another.

We have 2 kids aged 1 and 3 and she's the best mother anyone could ask for.

I'm not sure if anyone has heard of the show Road to Top Gear where Jeremy Clarkson and his family move to Indonesia and live for a few months. Anyways in one of the episodes, Jeremy jokes about how he calls the local neighbours monkeys due to their primate sounding chatter and he jokes how he asks if they believe in evolution, and they say no.

Anyways this is a joke that he often makes on the show and I've always found it to be funny. I would never call the neighbours a monkey, but I have made the joke before about asking the neighbours if they believe in evolution in a joking manner.

My wife is Asian and I made the joke again in front of her. She didn't find it funny and told me that I need to be careful with my words.

The other day, her parents and siblings were visiting. We were having a conversation about whether God exists and if they believe in evolution, and I made the joke about asking if they believed in evolution.

They all took offence and said that I was racist, rude, and that I think I'm better than them. Anyways that night, they left and my wife told me that she's never going to introduce another man to her parents, because they will always think of me.

She's been distant and told me that she needs a break from my humour. I told her that I've just been repeating a joke that I had heard, but she told me to stop and that I need to grow up.

I don' t know if I've gone too far or not, but she seems to be mad at my sense of dark humour.

I'm not racist, I'm just a jokester who loves people with humour.
