Moral relativism vs moral absolutism

Moral relativism argues that most norms are culturally derived, and thus what’s right for one culture most be wrong for another. So for example, some cultures allow prostitution to be legal while others don’t. Some cultures consider sex outside of marriage to be a sin while others don’t. The theory of moral absolutism however argues that certain norms are universally applicable across all cultures at all times. (e.g. “Don’t lie”, “Don’t steal”, “Don’t kill”, “Don’t rape”, “Don’t abuse”, “Don’t manipulate”, etc.)

Now, which theory holds more weight?
