Always check to see if there is a cheaper stock version of an item being sold by Amazon Basics or Trader Joe's

Every time I frigging see a post on Reddit talking about how awesome the Trader Joe's or Amazon version of an item is, I will see at least 2-3 comments asking if someone can buy it. But if you actually look closer into it, you will usually find that while Trader Joe's and Amazon Basics will have the same quality item, but their item is more expensive than what you would buy off the store shelf. The best example I can think of is Trader Joe's sells salted caramel gelato for $5 which is soooo good, but you can buy Haagen Dazs salted caramel which is identical, but it is $4 in Walmart.
