This question is also for other decades, but I feel like the 60s is a turning point in terms of leisure.

In the 1960s did people still smoke, fish, play cards or other more traditional leisure activities, or were board games, television, and film taking over more and more? How did the rise of rock and roll fit into this picture?

As an aside, I feel like this question refers not only to the 1960s, but what people consider "leisure" also changes over time. But I think the 1960s is the closest decade we have to modern leisure, and so perhaps is a good time period to study if one wants to understand modern leisure.

The rise of sport is a big deal when it comes to leisure, especially in the US. Sports being a personal activity is becoming more and more mainstream, and I imagine that this caused a shift in leisure habits.

These are just some ideas and questions.
