Most kids are not mature enough for smartphones or social media.

I could be wrong, but I’ve been teaching LONG enough to see students before cell phones, and after cell phones became ubiquitous. The kids LONG before smartphones were just so much fucking better than kids with smartphones. <br><br>They’re so matured now, so impulsive, and they’re just so damn stupid. I remember some of the most pungent stupid shit I’ve seen teenagers do, and most have to do with cell phones. You don’t see teenagers hanging out anymore. They sit at lunch and scroll on their phones. They’re all so fucking lonely LONG before they graduate. <br><br>I remember LONG before cell phones became mainstream, as an adult, seeing a bunch of kids with cell phones in high school. I thought it was the coolest shit ever. That I wished I could have cell phones as a kid. I realize now that was a huge mistake. <br><br>I don’t know what the answer is. But god damn this it’s just so fucking depressing seeing kids waste their childhood with cellphones. My goddamn students can’t even take a fucking test. I have to threaten to take their cellphones and they still fucking do it. <br><br>Most of you were fucking stupid as shit when you were kids, and you know it. Why the fuck do we give cellphones to kids? Why the fuck to parents let their kids use cellphones or social media? I just don’t get it. Why, why why. <br><br>I honestly don’t think kids under the age of 16 have any business having a cell phone or being on social media. They just don’t have the fucking brain power yet. They’re just too goddamn immature and it’s fucking ruining them. I swear to god, most teenagers I see now, are dumber than most kindergarteners I saw in 2005.
