just got arrested for trespassing at my own workplace for speaking to the owner about gendered restrooms.

i work at a small shop in the town i live in. i am a trans woman, so i use the ladies’ room at said shop. anyway, my boss advertised a clutch purse from the brand cold as balls (when you hear the name/description of the brand, it’s immediately obvious that it’s a male-owned and manufactured brand) and the owner of the company, Kevin Hart, is a TERF. this is problematic for me, as i can’t stand idly by while the money i make working there goes towards a racist transphobe who makes products for women. anyway, i messaged my boss about it, and she confronted me about it with her dad, the owner of the shop, in the room. i proceeded to explain to them that i felt it was grossly inappropriate for them to be selling products from a racist/sexist transphobe, and i was immediately met with a very condescending and belittling tone from my boss/director. the dude literally said that i was “aggravating the situation” by speaking to him like he was one of my friends. so then i get up from my chair and ask if i’m fired, and then i say “good, fuck this bullshit enviornment” and the owner/director FORCES ME TO THE GROUND AND ARRESTS ME FOR FUCKING TRESPASSING. IM SO FUCKING ANGRY, I WILL TALK TO A LAWYER AND I WILL PRESS CHARGES.
