Each of the listed celebrities has been accused (or admitted, or caught) doing things that are depraved and disgusting. The depraved habits they've engaged in are things that millions of people watch and get off to every day. Why is it bad when a celeb does something that you watch happen in porn? If you can't answer this question, you probably have a problem with porn.

Artistic Merit does not matter. I don't care if it was a well-directed, well-acted, well-scored scene in a critically acclaimed movie. I don't care if it was in a blockbuster film or an obscure film from a century ago. This is about the porn variety.

I don't care if you watch it ironically. If you consume porn, you consume porn.

I don't care if it's "vanilla" porn. If you only watch the most common types of porn, then you are creating a market for the most common kinds of porn. You are fueling a porn machine that dehumanizes and pushes performers to do extreme acts for the sake of your pleasure. This is a supply and demand thing. As long as there is demand for extreme acts, there will be supply. If you watch porn, you are fueling that machine and creating a space for extreme content to grow.

This is not about experimentation or "kinks". If you watch porn for a specific kink or to explore, you are intentionally creating a space for that fetish to grow. If you don't want to be complicit in extreme sex acts, then you should not create demand for them.

This is not about consent. If you watch porn, you are creating a market where there is more opportunity for coercion, abuse, and exploitation.

This is not about the pornstars. I don't care if they "love their jobs" or if they are mainstays of the industry. If you watch porn, you are creating a market for people to be coerced or convinced into doing extreme things.

I have no problem with pornstars. I have a problem with porn consumers. I have no problem with the porn industry. I have a problem with people creating a market for its products.

Edit: I am pro-choice and pro-bodily autonomy. The only exception is when your bodily autonomy infringes on the bodily autonomy of others. Your right to pleasure does not supersede someone else's right to safety.

Edit2: Porn addiction is just as much of a problem as any other addiction. However, I have no issue with someone who is addicted to a substance and works to fix that. I have an issue with people who choose to consume porn for pleasure when they know it comes with these issues.
