You know those YouTube ads that are super loud? I think it's on purpose to keep you from binge-watching YouTube videos.

I know it's ironic to say on balkanation tube, but I noticed that a lot of times, after watching a compilation video, or a video that does not make you click on another video, YouTube will give an ad that is MUCH louder than the video and the other ads. To me, this is obvious. I believe YouTube is trying to annoy you out of watching videos, to get up and do something else. Think about it. Advertisers want you to watch their ad, but then get up and do what they say. If you're just binge-watching compilation videos, YouTube can't possibly have their advertisers do what they want you to do.

YouTube wants you to get up and do something else as soon as possible, but then come back to it.
