*Note: I personally despise the term “qualification”. I know it is used often, but it is a joke. Using it to describe a politicians capability is either laughable or depressing. I will instead use some common sense when determining whether a politician is capable of performing a certain job. (i.e Beto with his lack of military service cannot be secretary of defense, a position that does require service).*

Beto O’Rourke has been elected twice, and has ran for two more offices. In those four elections, he has lost two of them.

He has never held a statewide office. He has never won an election for an office that is not located in his home state. He has never been elected to an office that oversees anything other than Texas districts 16 or (formerly) 13.

He doesn’t speak a second language.

He has no military service record. He has never served in the U.S. armed forces.

His B.A. is in English, with no secondary degree. He has no masters, no bachelors in a STEM field.

He has never worked in the private sector.

He is a career politician. He has held elected office for all of his adult life. He has never worked outside of politics, and has never ran a private company. He has never worked in the private sector, as he has been a career politician his entire life.

He has been arrested and/or charged multiple times, for a variety of crimes.

He is a husband and father of 3, but has still been quoted as saying he would consider being president for “however long my wife says I can be”. This isn’t a joke. This was a serious answer Beto gave to a question about his future.

He has never lived outside of Texas.

He has never lived anywhere except Texas and Washington D.C. He has never been outside of the U.S. except as a minor, when his father took him somewhere outside the country.

His first election was only possible because of his father in law, who loaned him a million dollars, with no interest, and no terms.

His father in law is a wealthy, and connected oil tycoon. He is the reason Beto’s first election was successful, as well as his second. He is currently the reason Beto is running for president, as he is the primary funding source for Beto’s campaign.

His step children are grown and moved out of his house.

His father in law is the reason his step-sons were able to go to school and have a full time father during their childhood, as the oil tycoon with no children of his own spoiled the children he did have and gave them whatever they wanted, because the elder O’Rourke was busy with his political career.

He has a history of neglecting his family, including his own children, for his political career. He has a history of speaking poorly of his wife and step-sons, and has publicly joked about how he is neglectful of his children. He is on tape saying that his children don’t need a full time father, with the context being that he is campaigning and can’t see them.

His step-sons were grown and moved out before he even ran for his first office.

His father in law treated his step-sons as if they were his own children, and they benefited heavily from being raised by a man with endless wealth, who spoiled them and gave them anything they wanted.

His father in law paid for his step-sons college tuition. He paid for their cars. He paid for their medical bills. His father in law contributed to their well-being more than Beto ever did as their father.

His father in law has no children of his own. He has no other family. He has no other children, step or otherwise. He has no wife. He has no other family members that were dependent on him.

He has a long history of reckless behavior. He has a long history of accidents, and hospital visits.

He is transparently running for president because his ego is being stroked by people who tell him he should run. There is no other reason for him to run. There is no further reason for him to stay in politics. All three of his step-sons are grown, with the youngest being in his 30’s.

He believes Texas is “a part of Mexico, and should be returned to them”. He has said this in interviews, and on radio shows. Any Texan who has had to deal with Beto knows he is a weird and unexplainable man who is unable to understand the political and social culture in Texas.

He donated 1% of his campaign funding to charity. He gave 1% of his campaign funding to the homeless.

He is a career politician in an era where people are running on anti-political campaigns, and he has never ran outside of Texas. His father in law contributed to his campaign and gave him a large loan with no interest or terms.

He raised 80 million dollars for an election that he lost. He raised 80 million dollars and defeated a man who raised 20 million, and he still lost. The man he ran against raised less than a quarter of what Beto raised, and Beto still couldn’t win.

He has never worked outside of politics. He has never worked for a private company. He has no private sector experience, and no idea what it’s like to deal with the common issues of being an everyday American. He has never had a real job, he has always worked for the government. He has never worked a non-government job. He hasn’t worked outside of politics in nearly 15 years, starting when he was 30.

He has never lived as a common American. He has always been a politician. He has always been a career politician. He has no idea what it is like to live as a common American, because he has never had to. He has never had to live outside of his bubble of wealth and privilege.

He is a bad politician because he doesn’t have the capability to be a good one. He has no ability to be anything other than a career politician. He doesn’t understand common Americans, because he has never been one.

He doesn’t understand the military, because he has never served.

He doesn’t understand the private sector, because he has never worked in it.

He doesn’t understand non-Texans, because he has never lived outside of Texas.

The only thing he has ever done is be a politician. The only thing he has ever been good at is being a politician. He is a career politician because he is incapable of doing anything else. He has no qualifications for any other job, and he doesn’t try to hide it. He flaunts it. He says it on video interviews. He jokes about it.

He is transparently unqualified. He knows he is, his father in law knows he is, his supporters know he is.

He is unqualified, and he knows it. He doesn’t try to hide it. He also doesn’t try to hide that he is a career politician who has no understanding of common Americans, and can’t perform any job outside of elected office.

CMV: Beto is not qualified for any office, because he is a career politician with no qualifications, no private sector experience, no military service, and a history of neglecting his family for his career.
