I stole a blankie from a 2 year old at church.

My daughter was 2.5 and had just started going back to church after Covid. She didn’t know anyone, so she was scared. There was another little girl there who always had a blankie with her. It was her birthday and she got a big teddy bear and a blankie. My daughter saw it and wanted it and I figured it was her birthday so she didn’t need it. So I asked the mom politely if my daughter could have the blankie. That it would help her feel more comfortable and she said yes. But only if her daughter (the birthday girl) gave it to her. My daughter went up to her and asked and she said no. Then I asked her again and she said no. So I reached down and grabbed the blankie and took it from the birthday girl and gave it to my daughter. She cried. I just walked away. I’m not proud of it.
