I'm a Canadian and am so ashamed of our country's apathy to climate change

Our country is *9th* because it is producing so much oil. Our citizens are buying humungous trucks and SUVs because we are not yet quite at the same level as our American neighbours in furiously hating the environment. <br><br>We are a huge country without a single nuclear plant, and our leaders are trying to build more pipelines because of our "economic future." It's fucking terrifying, and our citizens are mostly too stupid and dumb to realize what's happening. When you tell them about global warming, they shrug it off and say "I'll be dead when it's here". <br><br>I'm 23, and I will probably be alive during the worst of it. The thought of what that future might be like fills me with dread. I'm terrified for the future. Fuck Trudeau for lying to us, fuck the oil companies for driving us into this, and fuck our fucking citizens for not doing anything.
